Amongst  capacious academic and medical attendance, Jabir ibn Hayyan medical university  celebrated the second anniversary of its establishment. The ceremony  started with verses of the Holy Quran, National anthem ,and  dedicating  Sura AL-fatiha  to the Iraqi Martyes 'souls.

    In this respect, Prof.Dr.Ali Mahmood AL-shammari ,the president of the university, has made a speech in which he said "our university is the first specialized medical university in Iraq .It includes four colleges (Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing)   in its frame .At the present time; the university contains the college of medicine which has been established  in 2013-2014  .We aspire to institute the other colleges  in the near future.

   Besides , the university comprises in its frame  a teaching hospital with a capacity of 600 beds, in addition to  research and healthy cure centers.

  We pursue to qualify distinctive staff of physicians, pharmacist, dentists and nurses who have professional capacities to offer the best healthly care for the society. "

    For sharing this special day of our university, certain high-figure academicians who attend the celebration has given a speech concerning this occasion:

Prof .Dr. Muhsin Al-fregi ; the minister's consultant , said " Jabir ibn Hayyan  medical university has been established for fundamental reasons and justifications which represent the actual need for performing   medical tasks in our society .On the other side,  the institution of the university related to factors that concerned with different fields of medical knowledge and focusing on precautionary aspect rather than on  therapeutic aspect .

    He added that the university has a lot of purposes ; mainly , to qualify competent medical staff who will work in different regions of our country . Al-fregi pointed that  he has been officially commissioned by the minister of higher education and scientific research Dr.Hussein AL-shaherstani to  auspice  this occasion  which he described it  as a distinguished one  in its preparation and activities in spite of   recency  of university establishment."

    Prof .Dr. Mahdi AL-sahlawi; vice president of Kufa university for administrative affairs ,said" today, we are together celebrating   the second anniversary of this unique scientific  accomplishment,  where the establishment of  Jabir ibn Hayyan medical university  comes as a fulfillment of the needs and interest  of instituting medical colleges for serving  the community in AL-najaf Al-ashraf and other provinces of our country, and providing  the ministry of health  with  specialized staff".

     And in an interview with the Iraqi channel  ,Prof.Dr. Safa AL-obaidi, vice president of Jabir ibn Hayyan medical university for scientific  affairs said "Jabir ibn Hayyan  medical university is the first specialized medical university in Iraq ,which includes in the frame of its four colleges ;the college of clinical pharmacy that specialized in  offering  consultation and backing to the physician by modern scientific devices .We have been to symmetry international universities ,one of them is in united states of America, and acquainted to their academic experience. Also, we have    attended conferences for principled universities  ,and   visited the most advanced faculties of medicine in the world".

   Furthermore, the ceremony involved different activities including  shows of videos for the  students at labs of the university during the clinical lectures and at study halls during the theoretical lectures .

   Additionally, set  of photographs  was displayed for the university building and the academic  occasions that held  in it.  As well as;    pictures  for academic and public  occasions   that have been taken  by Jabiryeon team ,who have been formed by the medical students during the last two  years.

   And there has been an exhibition for a set of books and   portrait painted by the students for the teaching staff.   Also, ACMEST Company for commercial agencies  has an affected participation.

  At the end of the ceremony, the president of university has praised on the effort of both the teaching  and administrative   staff   and presented them certificates for appreciating   their distinctive  efforts in the university.
